Savela Family Scoop: Baby Shower

Yesterday we were very blessed to be able to spend a great day with our family and friends who came to celebrate the soon-to-be arrival of Baby Savela. The shower was held at the Lodge at Crandall Park in Tolland, CT. It was a great spot with a rustic feel and a nice huge stone fireplace inside. The theme was woodland animals! The shower was perfect and we are so lucky to have such great support from everyone. We had a blast and hope our guests did as well.

We have a few special people we need to thank for making the day possible: My mom (Pat) for planning, organizing, and executing the shower; Addison's mom (Cindy) for the fabulous, tasty, and adorable cake; Scott for serving all of the food; My Aunts Sue and Paula for spending the whole day before cooking, making decorations, and putting together the favors; All of our friends and family who made and brought food; CAKES for organizing the games and activities; Lindsay, Darlene, Ryan, Karen, Brendan, Paula, Scott, Cindy, Patrick, Shawn, Jade, and my parents for helping with setup and cleanup; and last but not least my stylists (Katie and Sarah), personal photographer (Annie), and nutritionist (Emily and Charlotte)!

Here are a few pictures from the shower for all of our friends and family who were unable to make it. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone for your generous gifts. We couldn't believe how many wonderful things we got, especially handmade items! Our baby is one lucky little kid :) Only 6 more weeks until we all get to meet him/her!
