Savela Family Scoop: Week Four!

Today marks Kinley's Four Week birthday!! She won't technically be 1 month until Tuesday, so there will be an extra post then :) At this point she still likes to sleep a lot! She is still sleeping about 4 hours at a time at night and during the day will wake up for about an hour, eat, then go back to sleep for 2-3 hours. She likes to be held for her naps and often wakes up if you try to put her down. This makes it hard for Mommy to get much done!

Kinley is doing well with tummy time, although sometimes she cries a lot and sometimes she is happy. She is able to hold her head up at a 45 degree angle for a decent amount of time. Kinley has started to really like her swing. She really likes to watch the mobile turn and listen to the music...she will stay in it without falling asleep now.

We started taking walks this week with her stroller. Mommy is able to play music on her phone (the stroller has a slot to hold the phone) while walking and it puts Kinley right to sleep. She actually really enjoys the bumps of the sidewalk. When we walk down the smooth road on side streets she squeaks a little bit. For anyone that has gotten to hear Kinley cry, she has a very raspy voice (think Macy Gray) and squeaks. It is actually kind of cute.

Kinley got to go in the pool for the first time! She didn't like it too much, but she had just woken up and it was a little cold. We will have to try again..with two lifeguards for parents..she'll have to like the water :) Even though she wasn't fond of being in the pool, she certainly loved hanging out at the pool!
