Eight Weeks!

We finished off a busy weekend with a bridal shower! It was nice to spend some girl time together with my Mom's family. Of course Kinley was the center of attention at our table. After the shower, we just had to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and spend the afternoon at the pool. It is truly amazing how much Kinley loves the water at such a young age. It calms her right down!

As you can see in the following pictures..we spent a lot of time in pools and lakes this week! With temps in the 90s feeling like 100s everyday it was necessary to keep us cool. We got to spend a day with Auntie Lindsay and Michael and visit a fun little lake near their house. It was Kinley's first time in a lake, but she loved it. The water was quite warm, so she was able to stay in for a while without getting cold. She also had some fun laying on her towel in the sand when she was finished swimming. That's something she doesn't get to do at the pool. We finally convinced Daddy that we needed our little pool set up on our deck. Now we can at least cool off everyday if we want to!

Kinley continues to do really well with tummy time. She has started to look around during tummy time, not just hold her head straight up and forward. She also rolled over three different times during tummy time from her tummy to her back! Also during tummy time, Kinley has started to "scoot" a little bit. She doesn't get very far, but she definitely does not end up where she started. She also has been cooing and smiling a lot more. We can actually provoke a smile from her now!
