Kinley's Baptism

Thank you to all who came to celebrate Kinley officially becoming a member of the Catholic Church today! We were so thankful for the support of our family and friends on her special day. For those who weren't able to make it...The baptism was its own ceremony that took place after Mass. Kinley's godparents are: Alanna (Christine's cousin) and Joe (Addison's friend). During Mass, our family was introduced to the congregation. After Mass was over and the congregation left, we began the Baptismal ceremony. Father Barry prayed over Kinley and asked of our intentions for our daughter to be Baptized. He then made the sign of the cross on her forehead followed by us, her godparents, and anyone else who wished to do the same. We then moved to the baptismal font where she had oil rubbed on her head and then had water poured over her head to wash away her original sin. She was then given her baptismal bib and candle and her candle was lit. After the ceremony we were able to take pictures, then headed back to our house for a cookout. We were lucky to have a beautiful day and we truly enjoyed everyones company. Thank you again to all who came to celebrate!
