Kinley is 10 Weeks! Boy time is flying and Mommy is already getting nervous about going back to work. Kinley is doing great with tummy time and rolling over. She is really starting to look around while on her tummy. She is will focus on toys placed in front of her. She especially likes toys that light up and make noise. She even is starting to practice tummy time on one arm. She quickly will pick up one hand as if she is reaching for something. She also is getting really good at grabbing for her toys when they are dangling above her.
Kinley got to spend her first night in her brand new crib specially made for her by her Grandpa!! The crib is absolutely awesome and Kinley is already comfy in it. Now she has much more space and doesn't need to worry about wiggling to the side and having her face squished by the bars! We are so happy that we have this amazing crib that can be passed down for generations, just like the cradle she was using.
We are starting to get into a bit more of a routine. Mommy is trying really hard to get a routine down, so when Kinley goes to daycare, everything goes smoothly. Kinley is really starting to like some alone time. She still wants you close by, but she doesn't want to be held all of the time. It is a nice break for Mommy's arms, but more importantly this will be better for when Kinley starts school. I was worried that she was going to throw a fit anytime they put her down.
Kinley is starting to mimic faces we make at her. She has perfected sticking out her tongue. Not necessarily something we want her to do, but it is kinda cute when she copies us. She still absolutely loves water, even if it is cold. Kinley got to experience her first Hutter Picnic. My dad's company has an annual company picnic at their "camp". The camp is an old boy scout campground. They have a softball field, basketball and tennis courts, horseshoe pits, a lake, boats, swimming, cabins, and more. I always loved going to the Hutter Picnic and now it's even better being able to share it with my daughter. She loved swimming in the lake and has even learned to kick her feet. It was great to see everyone as well and catch up with old friends I don't see much since moving to CT. It was also good for my dad to be able to show his granddaughter off!
This week Kinley also got to meet a few special people from Mommy's old school. Joanne was kind enough to have people over her house to meet Kinley. Kinley got to see Joanne and Joe again and meet: Ms. Zap, Mrs. Sennott, Mrs. Arsenault, and Erin Kelly...all from NDA. It was nice for them to meet her and she was very lucky to get lots of special gifts from them!
